They sign up with your link, or type your code at signup or checkout, and pick a plan. The referral only counts on an account that hasn't used a referral before.

On their first payment, your friend's reward applies instantly. Yours unlocks automatically a few days later, once the anti-fraud hold clears.

The rules, in plain terms
First payment only
Rewards are created once, when your friend makes their first qualifying payment. Renewals and later purchases don't create new rewards — the program rewards new signups, not every charge.
Your friend is instant; you have a short hold
Your friend's reward applies the moment their payment goes through. Yours sits pending for a few days as an anti-fraud hold, then applies automatically — no action needed.
How a free month applies to you
Already on Pro · Quick Polish? Your next charge is pushed out 30 days, so free time stacks after the period you've paid for. Not subscribed? You get a 30-day Pro access window instead, and multiple windows stack end to end.
Unlimited friends, one reward each
Refer as many friends as you like. Each friend's account can be referred once, you earn one reward per friend, and a generous annual cap limits the total free months a single account can earn per year.
Refunds void pending rewards
If your friend's qualifying payment is refunded or disputed, any rewards that haven't applied yet are voided. Rewards that already applied are reviewed case by case.
Codes apply before the first payment
Your friend can use your link, or type your code at signup or checkout — as long as it's before their first payment. An account that has already used a referral can't apply another code.

How many friends can I refer?
As many as you like — one reward per friend. A generous annual cap limits how many free months a single account can earn per year; gift codes, where a plan earns one, don't count against it.
What happens if my friend refunds or disputes the payment?
Rewards that are still pending are voided automatically. Rewards that already applied are reviewed case by case.
Does my friend need to pay for me to get a reward?
Yes. Rewards are triggered only by your friend's first qualifying payment. A free signup alone doesn't create rewards — but your friend still gets the generous free tier either way.
