Marcus Oyelaran
Twelve years making physical things arrive where they are supposed to, on the day they are supposed to. I work on the unglamorous half of operations: warehouse throughput, carrier contracts, and the forecasting that stops a peak season from becoming an incident review.
Experience
- Run a 140-person operation across two distribution centres and a partner carrier network.
- Cut average order-to-door time from 4.1 to 2.6 days without adding headcount.
- Renegotiated the carrier book in 2023, saving roughly €1.8M annually at equivalent service levels.
- Introduced a weekly forecast review that took peak-season stockouts from routine to rare.
- Owned fulfilment for the Benelux region across 60 stores plus e-commerce.
- Led the warehouse management system migration — 11 weeks, no missed shipping day.
- Built the returns process that later became the group standard.
- Demand planning and supplier scorecards for a perishable-goods portfolio.
- Where I learned that a forecast nobody trusts is worse than no forecast.

Carrier network redesign
Havenlijn · 2023Rebuilt the carrier mix around service-level bands instead of flat lowest-cost. Annual spend down about €1.8M with on-time delivery up 4 points.

What colleagues say
Marcus brought us a carrier proposal with the downside case on the first slide. That is not how these conversations normally go, and it is why the board approved it in one meeting.
He ran the WMS migration as calmly as anyone I have worked with. Eleven weeks, two sites, and the floor team never once felt like it was being done to them.
